Preparing your property for lease

Keys

We require a total of 3 sets of keys for all front door locks, each tenant on the lease is required to have a set of keys as well as a spare set of keys for our office to keep.
We also require a copy of all window lock keys and garage remotes.

Final clean

We recommend you hand over the property to us in an immaculate and clean condition. We can recommend a cleaner if required.

Gardens and lawns

We recommend having the lawns freshly mowed & gardens tidied prior to our agency preparing your property for advertisement and lease.

Air-conditioning

We need all air-conditioning remotes left at the property.
If the unit is faulty or damaged we recommend servicing this unit before the start of a new tenancy.

Gutter cleaning

If there’s a large amount of overhanging vegetation in roofing areas, we recommend first clearing all gutters prior to our agency looking after your property.

Pools and spas

There are a number of laws surrounding the safety requirements of pools and spas.
The following are links for more information on the specific rules and regulations:

Pets

If you currently have a pet within the property, we recommend after you’ve left the property, flea bombing and treating any other areas of concern within the property.

Smoke alarms

We strongly recommend certifying the smoke alarms, these certifications are inexpensive (approximately < $100) these checks need to be carried out on an annual basis.

Electricity and gas

Don’t forget to contact your provider and cancel your gas and electricity plans.

Redirect your personal mail

Make sure your mail moves to where you move. We’ve found that tenants are unreliable with passing on the owner’s personal mail to our office so don’t leave this to chance.
